Terms of Service

1. Provider

The Deep-OCR API is operated by Heey Global UG (haftungsbeschränkt). By registering and using the service you enter into a contract with us and agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Description of Service

Deep-OCR provides an API that uses AI models to extract structured data from documents (invoices, receipts, contracts, ID documents, and others). The service is provided as software-as-a-service over the internet.

3. Registration and Account

Use of the API requires registration. You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials and API key confidential.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at hello@deep-ocr.com.

4. Usage Quotas and Plans

Each plan includes a monthly page quota. Unused pages expire at the end of the month and do not roll over. Requests exceeding the quota are rejected.

Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged on a prorated basis. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge the applicable amount to your payment method.

In case of failed payments we reserve the right to temporarily restrict API access. All prices are exclusive of applicable VAT.

6. Acceptable Use

Use of the API is permitted for lawful purposes only. In particular, you may not:

• Process documents of third parties without their consent
• Use the API to build profiles of or monitor individuals
• Overload the service through automated mass requests
• Share or sell API credentials to third parties
• Attempt to bypass or probe security mechanisms
• Process material that violates applicable law

7. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Uploaded documents are used solely for extracting the requested data and are deleted immediately after processing. They are not used for AI training.

8. Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance will be announced where possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for damages to life, body, and health. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damage.

We accept no liability for the accuracy of data extracted by the API. OCR results should be verified before use in business-critical processes.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time via the customer portal. For paid plans, access ends at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rata refund is provided.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately in case of violations of these Terms.

11. Changes

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For disputes with merchants, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our registered office, to the extent permitted by law.
